Justice For All

It is with great excitement that we share this opportunity with you, our community, to have the chance to have your voice heard by global policy makers by taking part in the Think Justice consultation.

Think%20Justice

Through the Justice For All campaign, The Task Force on Justice and the Global Legal Empowerment Network are partnering to gather ideas, insights, and inspiration from around the world through a grassroots consultation.

The Task Force on Justice is an initiative of the Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies , a group of national governments, international organisations, and networks committed to achieving the aims set out in the Sustainable Development Goals to provide access to justice for all.

Think Justice is a consultation of justice defenders and grassroots organisations, whose input will feed into the work of the Task Force on Justice.

Grassroots organisations and justice defenders activists are invited to:

  • Share their experience and justice stories;
  • Contribute data and evidence on justice needs;
  • Suggest grassroots responses to these needs; and
  • Propose and debate potential areas of recommendation.

This information will be collected jointly by the Global Legal Empowerment Network – on the community discussions platform forum – and NYU CIC – through a survey . The information collected will form the basis of a short report which will be submitted to the Task Force on Justice from 10-12 October 2018 in Freetown, Sierra Leone. The report will inform the work of the Task Force, as they investigate the scale and nature of the justice gap, and build a case for investment in justice. Their findings will be presented at the 2019 High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, the UN’s central platform for review of the 2030 Agenda and SDGs.

This is an important opportunity to directly share your experiences with governments and justice experts working to advance justice for all globally.
